What's the Worst RPG Maker Game You've Played and Why
I'm pretty hesitant to pick a "worst" RPG Maker game because I don't want to unknowingly pick a 15 year old's first attempt at a game and openly mock it. Or some edgy thing someone made in 2004 when the internet was a completely different place.
I guess if I had to pick anything, I would have to go with Toraware no Shoujo, one of the most controversial games to come out of the Horror Boom for its creepy content and for completely missing the mark on its subject matter. That said, the author listened to the criticisms and took all of that feedback to heart, and it received a full remake earlier this year which I understand ended up being pretty decent.

Exactly (or approximately) how expensive would it be to "update" RMN?

What do you think was the best year/era for RPG Maker?
I wasn't in the scene before 2012, so my frame of reference is mostly VX Ace and onwards. So I'd say it was around 2012-2015 when RPG Maker was finally becoming more accessible and what you could do with these engines started soaring to new heights, but the indie floodgates in general also hadn't quite opened yet.
I'm sad I missed the golden age and didn't get on board sooner.

Imagine being a disappointment.
Mark Twain impressed his peers with a perfect FF7 save file, including saving an Iron Bangle from the shop in Sector 7. History tends to glean over this.

Only suggestion is maybe make the bar outlines a little thinner or a different color. They reeeeally stand out with everything else being a darker color. Otherwise everything else here looks fantastic.
HEARTBEAT
Arguing with this person was an uphill battle from the start and he was doing it "for the lulz" and to "trigger the snowflakes" and whatever else horrible rhetoric comes out of these shady online spaces. His intent was to rile us up, and you can't really win against people like that.
Side Projects:
I'm so pressed for dev time nowadays that I only really ever have one project going and I couldn't work on side projects even if I wanted to. Heck, I barely participate in jams anymore (and jams never really worked for me because I can never keep it small/simple anyway).
But I also think one of the most important qualities any creator can have is the ability to finish projects. Inundating yourself so deep in collabs, side projects, etc can hurt you in the long run if none of those projects ever see the light of day.
